British School in Baku holds Art Festival

The British School in Baku held the first Art Festival on May 5.

Ms. Cirst Ogilvie welcomed everybody at the opening ceremony and wished good luck to all the participants.

Later on BSB’s art teachers cut the ribbon and the festival officially started. The BSB staff has shown great effort and teamwork in making this event a great success.

The theme of an Art Festival was ‘’Nature’’ with artwork and crafts ranging from paintings of the seasons, animals and still life.

There were hundreds of talented students art works displayed on that day. The Festival lasted more than 2 hours and at the end, 3 most creative art works have been awarded.

BSB founded in 2007 is the only British School in Azerbaijan and that is what gives it its distinctive character. Its curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum which, has become one of the most respected globally and prepares children for study at university level around the world.
