Azerbaijan joins Charity Christmas Bazaar in Slovakia

The Azerbaijani embassy in Slovakia has joined the 24th Charity Christmas Bazaar in Bratislava.

The charity was organized by the International Women's Club of Bratislava.

The organizers provided a platform for representatives from 32 countries, which are represented in Bratislava, to share their culture and life with the host country, and most importantly to raise funds for Slovak charities with special emphasis on children, disabled people and primary healthcare projects.

Azerbaijan`s pavilion featured different dishes of the country. The national pavilion, which was for the first time featured at the charity event, put on display products manufactured in Azerbaijan’s “Gilan Holding” company.

Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Slovakia Miroslav Laj?ák and his spouse Jarmila Laj?áková, attending the Charity Bazaar, thanked diplomatic corps` representatives accredited in Slovakia for their contributions.

Slovakia recognized the independence of Azerbaijan in 1992. The diplomatic relations between the two states were established in 1993.The office of the Azerbaijani embassy was inaugurated in Bratislava earlier this September.
