The creative agency “404 Found” supported by the Urban Art graffiti team will hold a “Street Art” underground exhibition in Baku on October 17.

Street art is visual art created in public places, usually unsanctioned artwork executed outside of the context of traditional art venues. The term gained popularity during the graffiti art boom of the early 1980s and continues to be applied to subsequent incarnations.

The event, inspiring the youth to become fearless in the manifestation of their ideas, will serve as the primary platform for combining multiple subcultures.

A performance by Diana Hajiyeva, rap from Synaps Production, a Hip Hop Freestyle Battle and a graffiti exhibition will create a thrilling atmosphere for the event, which is going to be held at the A+A Events Media Park.

The event also promises to be exciting, as artists – including a special guest from Sankt-Petersburg – will display the magic of spray art.

“One of the walls of the frozen construction projects in the city center dated back to 2001, was painted by graffers Makhor and Fike, and this gave an impetus for street art in Azerbaijan,” the organizers said. “Today it is necessary to create conditions for young people, who believe in their potential.”

Moreover, the Urban Art team will celebrate its 5th anniversary.

The organizers believe that the event will help youngsters express themselves as well as add a "mood" to the city.

Those who want to join the event could use the buses designed to transport guests to the venue, which will stop near the JW Marriott Absheron Baku Hotel from 18:00 to 19:30. After the show at 23:00, guests will be transported back.
