Vello exhibition winners named

The winners of an exhibition titled “Vello Sport through the eyes of young artists” in painting, sculpture and decorative art sections were awarded with valuable prizes.

The awarding ceremony was held in Park Boulevard on December 24. About 200 artists submitted their works to the exhibition which was launched two months ago. The best works were chosen by the jury headed by national artist Agali Ibrahimov.

The first prize went to Shamsaddin Boyukduzlu. Rahib Garayev and Vuga Agayev took the second and third places, respectively.

The contestants were awarded with money prizes in the amount of 500, 300 and 200 manats, respectively for the best three artworks. Besides, others participants received some gifts and presents.

Co-organized by Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, the General Administration of Baku City Youth and Sports Azerbaijan State Art Academy and State Youth Organization the exhibition was aimed to promote the cycling sport and to support the talented youth.

The ACF also said that works will be put on display by Heydar Aliyev Foundation in several exhibitions abroad.

For those who are wishing to see the works, the exhibition will last till December 31 in Park Boulevard.
