Azerbaijan to start national qualifying round for Eurovision 2013

Azerbaijan will start national qualifying round for the Eurovision-2013 Song Contest to be held in Malmo, Sweden.  The qualification round will see a total of 80 contesters vying for the right to represent Azerbaijan in Europe`s largest music show. A jury has already selected 80 contesters among a total of 128 applicants.

The lucky qualifiers will participate in a series of live shows broadcasted by the Public Television on five days of a week. National selections will last for 8 weeks. The procedure will be held in the same way as every year. The candidates will demonstrate their performances on weeknights of certain weeks. On Fridays, the winner of 5 days will be defined. Azerbaijan`s Eurovision 2013 representative will be selected among the winners of the weeks.

The qualification round will end in mid-March, 2013.
