Azerbaijani young writer’s story published in Lithuania

Lithuanian weekly art and literature newspaper “Siaures Atenai” published Azerbaijani young writer Parvin Nuraliyev’s story titled “For Samir” on the July 6 issue.

The story was translated to Lithuanian by chairman of the society of Azerbaijanis of Lithuania, honored member of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers Mahir Hamzayev and Edita Rakuvien.

The story which had been published by the Union of Azerbaijani writers in the frame of the project “Writers First Book” of the young writer Parvin was taken from the “There will be snow” collection of stories. The newspaper also presented an essay about the life and career of the young Azerbaijani writer.

Mahir Hamzayev has been promoting Azerbaijani literature in Lithuania over 30 years.
He has promoted popularization of Azerbaijani literature and art hereç in Lithuania in Lithuanian language with the support of the Society of Azerbaijanis of Lithuania which was founded by him in 1988.

Hamzayev has already published the books of famous Azerbaijani writers and poets, as Nizami, Abdulla Shaig, Bakhtiyar Vahabzade in Lithuanian language during his 30 year activity.
