Gabala Musical Festival to mark Muslim Magomayev’s jubilee

The 4th International Music Festival will be held in Gabala, the rector of Baku Musical Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibayli, people’s artist Farhad Badalbayli told APA. He said that the opening ceremony of the festival will be held on June 24 and it will be devoted to the 70 years jubilee of world famous musician Muslim Magomayev. Muslim Magomayev’s songs will be sounded this day.

It is also planned to celebrate 2 more jubilees within the festival. They are the jubilees of maestro Niyazi (100) and Fikrat Amirov (90). The music of above mentioned composers will be sounded during the festival.

Musicians from different world countries will participate in the festival that will continue till August 6.

Gabala Music Festival is organized with assistance of Heydar Aliyev foundation. The event is initiated by rector of Baku Musical Academy Farkhad Badalbayli and conductor Dmitriy Yablonsky.
