Baku hosts exhibition dedicated to Icheri Sheher

The Art Garden Gallery in Baku opened a personal exhibition of Mir-Teymur Mammadov. The exhibition includes works devoted to the Icheri Sheher, Old city.

Member of the Azerbaijani Union of Artists Mir-Teymur Mammadov said the ongoing exhibition is his 12th solo exhibition and demonstrates 51 works, of which 21 are in the style of graphics, and the rest - ceramics and paintings.

“The exhibition was dedicated to Icheri Sheher, because all my life, all activities - artistic, professional, journalistic, scientific and journalistic – are connected with this part of the city. I represent Icheri Sheher in the articles, pictures, graphics, painting, ceramics, and try to show the world something, which is sacred. "
 
Famous Azerbaijani writer Alexander Khakimov said these are excellent works of the excellent artist. “Every city has its old town, but I think our Icheri Sheher is unique. It will inevitably change over time and those who are trying to capture it in paintings, photographs and sculpture makes a great job. Because looking to these works, after fifty or more years, people will know how old town looked like. So, Mir-Teymur Mamedov is the keeper of eternity,” he noted.  The exhibition will run until Feb.10.
