‘World of Nizami in carpets’ – PHOTOS

The Azerbaijani State Museum of Carpet and Applied Art. named after L. Kerimov held an exhibition "The World of Nizami in the carpets".  Museum director Roya Tagiyeva said the exhibition was timed to the 870th anniversary of great Azerbaijani poet Nizami. The exhibition demonstrated 35 exhibits, including carpets, products of embroidery, metal and porcelain.

She said the carpet "Layli and Majnun" was subjected to conservation for better safety by the Research and Restoration Center specialists. There was also demonstrated a music video on Nizami. The opening was attended by yjr honored art worker, composer, director of the House-Museum of U. Hajibeyov, Sardar Farajov, Researcher at the Nizami Literature Institute Zohra Abdullayeva and other prominent figures.
