Azerbaijan records 1.1-percent inflation

Consumer goods prices and service tariffs rose by 1.1%, as well food prices – 1.9%, non-food prices – 0.4% and service tariffs – 0.1% in Azerbaijan in November, 2011 compared to September.

According to the  State Statistical Committee’s data, in November price of semolina, beef and mutton, chicken and chicken Mist, sausages, fresh fish, milk, butter, eggs, olive and corn oils, pear, pomegranate, walnuts and hazelnuts, cabbage, greens, cucumber, tomato, pepper, onion, potato soared. However, price of some products such as rice, flour, bread, lemon, banana, orange and mandarin, apple, chestnut, beet, carrot, garlic went down.

Price of non-food products - clothing and footwear, building materials, paint, lacquer for wood flooring, wallpaper, wood chips, brick, cement, kitchen furniture, kitchen chairs, furniture for the living and dining rooms, tables, upholstered furniture, bedroom furniture rose, but flooring, glass, kitchen tables, washing machines cheapened.
