Another Japan-supported project completed in Azerbaijani regions

A signing ceremony marking completion of the project on improvement of irrigation system in Barda and Agjabedi regions of Azerbaijan being implemented in the frame of the “Grass Roots – Ensuring Human Safety” program of the Japanese government will be held in Barda region.
Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan Shusuke Watanabe will join the ceremony, the Japanese embassy said.

The grant contract was signed between the Japanese Embassy and “Aran” Humanitarian Regional Development Organization on March 10, 2011. The project will promote increase of farmers` profits and productiveness of agriculture in the aforementioned regions through improvement of irrigation service. This is the 10th contract in Barda, and the 4th in Agjabedi.
