Azerbaijan imports same volume of Japanese cars

Head of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev stated today that the natural disasters in Japan did not affect the volume of Japanese cars imported into Azerbaijan.

"No serious problems occurred with the import of Japanese cars, as Azerbaijan imports machinery mainly manufactured outside of Japan," said Aliyev.

He said over 37,000 cars have been imported into Azerbaijan since early 2011. This figure matches the 2010 import volume.
