Azerbaijan buys high-speed boats from Turkey

Azerbaijan has bought two high-speed boats from Turkey, Turkish Ministry of National Defense said.

The high-speed boats can be used in the coast guard, search, rescue, pursuit operations. It was not said from which organization and which Turkish company the boats had been bought.

“Several Turkish companies and various agencies of Azerbaijan are holding discussions on the sale of ships and boats, and their production in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani government is considering the Turkish company’s proposal on production of large boats for Azerbaijan in Baku,” the ministry said.

Azerbaijan bought several boats from Turkey in 2010.
