
The consumer goods prices and service tariffs will be decreased in first half of 2011, compared to a year earlier, said the Chairman of State Statistical Committee Arif Valiyev.
According to him, deflation is expected in June, 2011: “Inflation is expected to fall from the beginning of the year”.
He also noted that, the prices in tourism spheres were higher in the country.
Note that, the inflation was 8.9% in January-May. Deflation was 0.3% in April, 0.4% in May.
