Baku Metro to buy subway train cars with air conditioning

The measures to improve comfort and security in Baku Metro are continued. Head of Technical and Production Division of Metro Fuad Taghizadeh said that the new trains will have air conditioning, working in both winter and summer conditions.

In addition, in order to ensure passengers’ safety, the Baku Metro is continuing the installation of surveillance cameras in all metro stations. At present, 2500 cameras were installed in the metro, every subway car has 4 cameras, number of cameras in the stations is between 40-60.

Taghizadeh said that the cameras allow to control both employees and passengers. Indicators of all the cameras are activated and stored for 1 month.
