Amendments made in law on "Labour pensions" in Azerbaijan

The project on annexes and amendments in the law on Labour Pensions was discussed at the today’s meeting of Milli Majlis.

Informing about draft law the Chairman of the Parliament’s Standing Commission on Social policy Hadi Rajabli noted that, article # 19.3 had been annexed in the law.

According to this annex, the labour pensioners who don’t work with scientific degree will draw AZN 200 for Doctor of Science scientific degree, AZN 120 for Doctor of Philosophy scientific degree.

Chairman of State Social Protection Fund Salim Muslumov noted that, there were 10,723 Doctors of Science and Candidates of Science in Azerbaijan. 1,827 of them are Doctors of Science, 8,896 – are Candidates of Science. 5,910 of them are in pension age: "After affirmation of amendment, we need AZN 5 mln to give the pensions with growth".

After discussions, the draft law was adopted.
