The Azerbaijani delegation led by Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev attended VII World Islamic Economic Forum in Astana, the Ministry reported on Wednesday.
The forum, of which theme is global economic development: mutual relations, competition and cooperation, is attended by more than 2,000 representatives from around the world.
As part of the event, a Forum was held on "Investment opportunities and challenges", where representatives from member countries of the Islamic Development Bank made presentations.
Business and investment opportunities of Azerbaijan were presented by Gulshan Rzayeva - representative of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
Forum will continue by June 9.
The first World Islamic Economic Forum was held in 2005 in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
