
Turkey-based GATE Elektronik company offered Azerbaijan new products, project manager of the company Omer Faruk Shatir said.
The company’s official said RobAs universal robots and unmanned submersibles of GATE Elektronik were introduced to the relevant bodies of Azerbaijan. According to him, GATE company has been cooperating with Azerbaijan for more than five years. Within the framework of this cooperation the company established Electrotechnical Repair Laboratory for Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
"The center we established repairs all electronic systems of the Azerbaijani Army in a short period," Omer Faruk Shatir said.
Giving information about the new projects, the company’s official said GATE offered universal robots to the Azerbaijani Army, police, radio stations to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, discussions are being held.
Omar Faruk Shatir said one of the specific features of the GATE robots is that they can be used for any purposes. They can even be used to disarm bombs.
"We can prepare robots for any operations, if required. A number of countries are interested in our new robots. The new robot is resistant to mine blast, weapons can be installed on it," he said.
