77% of transport workers engaged in state sector

76.6% of 63,400 hired workers are engaged in state sector, 23.4% in private sector, in first quarter of 2011, Azerbaijan.

SSC says 55.4% of workers were in surface and pipeline, 8.3% in air transport, 21.5% in subsidiary and establishments on additional transport activities: "Last year, average monthly salary of transport workers rose 20.8% to AZN 423.8. This index made AZN 886.5 in air transport, AZN 535.2 in sea transport, AZN 432.4 in motor transport, AZN 205.8 in railway transport".

Nevertheless, number of workers in information and communications institutions made 24.500 people, average monthly salary increased by 16.9% to AZN 593.6.
