Khoshbakht Yusifzade: "Azerbaijan may independently provide Nabucco with gas"

Volume of Azerbaijan’s gas reserves enables to realize Nabucco project without participation of other Caspian littoral states, SOCAR first Vice-president Khoshbakht Yusifzade said at the 5th Caspian Oil & Gas Trading & Transportation Conference.

Note that, 3300km-length Nabucco pipeline’s annual capacity will be 26-32 bn cubic meters. Via this pipeline, natural gas will be delivered from Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan to the EU countries, firstly to Austria and Germany

To him, volume of Azerbaijani approved oil reserves makes 2 bn tons, gas reserves – 2.2 trillion cubic meters, so far.
