Uzbek President approves Agreement on economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan for 2011-2015

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov has signed a decree on approval of the Agreement on economic cooperation between the governments of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan for 2011-2015, Tashkent-based "gazeta.uz" reports.

Under another decree of the Uzbek President, the protocol on changes and amendments to the Agreement on visa-free travel of citizens of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, signed between the governments of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan on June 18, 1997, has been approved.

Both documents were signed during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's official visit to Tashkent on September 27, 2010.

President Karimov instructed the Foreign Ministry to send a relevant letter to the Azerbaijani side on signing these documents.
