German model of mortgage lending will be implemented in Azerbaijan this year

Azerbaijan will adopt law on construction of saving banks this year, Azerbaijan’s Central Bank chairman Elman Rustamov told journalists.

He said after adoption of this law, German model of mortgage lending would be implemented in the country.

“We need to improve current mortgage model. New model will create mortgage system through collection of population's savings," the chairman added.
