SOCAR works to achieve environmental sustainability at refinery

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has installed filtration systems for gases emitted during equipment combustion at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, SOCAR's Environment Management reported. SOCAR owns the refinery.

Work has been done to minimize the emissions of harmful gases. Physically outmoded installations No. 42 and 66 were dismantled to eliminate sources of harmful emissions. The territory has been re-landscaped and 1,500 evergreen shrubs have been planted.

The company also completed the installation of Coking Installation Serial Unit No.43. Work to achieve environmental sustainability at the plant is conducted on a continuing basis.
