Azerbaijan proposes to open computer plant in Cuba

Azerbaijan's Communications and Information Technologies Minister Ali Abbasov has proposed to open personal computer manufacturing plant in Cuba at an Azerbaijan-Cuba business forum in the field of new technologies in Havana.

Abbasov said that Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with Cuba in development of mobile communication and internet services, including e-government.

According to the minister, Azerbaijani entrepreneurs are also showing interest in investing in the Caribbean nation. The two countries are expected to sign an agreement on cooperation in information and communication technologies during the visit. The Azerbaijani delegation arrived in Cuba at the invitation of Cuban Minister of Informatics Ramiro Valdes Menendez. The visit will last till October 10.
