SOCAR to begin selling motor fuel in Azerbaijan through its own filling stations

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to put into operation the first filling station in Azerbaijan under its brand April 5, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said today.

Total number of Azerbaijan's filling stations in Azerbaijan is 26.

So far, SOCAR put over 30 filling stations into operation in Georgia. It is planned to put into operation 30 more filling stations in 2010.

Also the company expands presence in the retail market of oil products in Ukraine. Currently, SOCAR is undertaking a rebranding of about 20 filling stations in this country.
