Azerbaijan to attend meeting of International Maritime Organization member states

Azerbaijan will attend a meeting of the maritime administration leaders of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) member states to be held in New York on Oct.15-21, the Azerbaijani State Maritime Administration said.
Representatives of 182 member states will attend the meeting. Head of the Azerbaijani State Maritime Administration Gudrat Gurbanov will represent Azerbaijan at the event.

The event will discuss strengthening of maritime safety, marine environmental protection and strengthening of measures to combat piracy and armed attacks, as well as enhancing cooperation with relevant organizations.
