Azerbaijani delegation receives delegation led by UK state minister

The State minister congratulated Azerbaijani leader on the occasion of 15th anniversary of the “Contract of the Century”, saying “this contract has played significant role in Azerbaijan`s development.”

Hunt said his government hails President`s previous official visit to London in June.

The Head of State noted the “Contract of the Century” made “great” contribution to progress of the country`s economy. The Azerbaijani leader said this contract became a reason for initiatives of various energy projects, including those of Europe`s energy security.

President Ilham Aliyev said his country attaches much more importance to energy cooperation with Great Britain.

He praised bp`s contribution to further developing bilateral relations in this field.

Touching upon the Memorandum of understanding between Azerbaijan State Oil Company and bp signed during his official visit to London, the President expressed hope that bilateral energy cooperation will further enhance.

The State Minister praised “successful” cooperation between Azerbaijan and bp, saying “Great Britain will further support this cooperation”.
