Azerbaijani mobile operators Azercell and Azerfon reach agreement

Management of Azerfon and Azercell met at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies to settle the conflict between the two mobile operators on July 25, Azercell said.
The sides have decided to settle the conflict through talks and certain progress have been reached in this regard. The talks are underway to approve plan under which Azerfon will pay off the debt step-by-step.

The conflict appeared after Azercell announced on July 21 that it would cut interconnection with Azerfon as Azerfon has not paid a debt over the last year.

Local court decided against limiting interconnections between Azercell and Azerfon until the case is examined in detail.
