Azerbaijan doubles gas price for Turkey

Azerbaijan will charge Turkey about $200-$250 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas, compared to $120 it charged previously, Turkey’s Haber7 reported.
The two countries have been in intensive negotiations on the price and volume of naturals gas Azerbaijan exports to Turkey. Turkey proposes increasing the volume of gas delivery while Azerbaijan wants to bring prices close to market prices.

Haber7 said Azerbaijan and Turkey have agreed on the price but are still negotiating on the increased volume of natural gas from Shah Deniz Phase 2.

Earlier Azerbaijan said it charged $120 per 1,000 cubic meters of 5 billion cubic meters of gas exported to Turkey in 2008.
