Delegation of German businessmen to arrive in Azerbaijan

Reports say that the delegation consists of the representative of construction enterprises, engaged in the sphere of construction, production of construction vehicles, foodstuffs (especially, vegetable oil), electricity and heating, as well as electric engines (including their repair).

The visit is arranged by the commercial-industrial chamber of Dorthmund and the German-Azerbaijani Forum of Economic Assistance.

The delegation members will hold meetings in the Ministry of Economic Development and Ministry of Industry and Energy. Meetings with Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to define opportunities of cooperation are also planned.

The aim of the visit is intensification of economic ties between Azerbaijan and Northern Rein-Westphalia.

It should be noted that this land accounts for about 18 mln people and it is the most densely populated part of Germany. Northern Rein-Westphalia is also the most economically development land in Germany, its GDP makes EUR 529,420,000,000 (2007).

It should be reminded that Northern Rein-Westfalia is represented in Azerbaijan by the following enterprises: RWE AG, EON AG, Vogelsang GmbH, Wilo AG, Facet GmbH, Bentec GmbH, Wirtgen GmbH.
