Deputy chief of US department of commerce: "Azerbaijan continues reforms in economic sector"

Deputy chief of the US department of commerce Paul Dick declared opening of the services office of the department in Azerbaijan.
According to Day.Az, opening of the said office proves the growing interest of the US exporters in the Azerbaijani market and possible strengthening of relations between the two countries.

In his speech Paul Dick said:

"This is my third visit to Azerbaijan and it is the most important one as today I declare the opening of the services office of the US department of commerce. Azerbaijan continues reforms in the economic sector. In turn, we will fulfill our promises in the sphere of strategic cooperation and expansion of commercial ties", noted he.

US ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Derse announced that the opening of the office of US department of commerce is a positive event.

"After the recent visit of US vice president Dick Cheney to Azerbaijan, we have become witnesses of the intensification of relations between the two countries. During the visit to Azerbaijan Dick Cheney noted again that the relations between the two countries have reached a new level.

The United States are cooperating with Azerbaijan on important issues, especially in security, energy, democracy, holding economic reforms and between nations. The opening of the said office proves it once again. We hope that our relations will further consolidate", noted she.

The United States offer commercial services in more than 100 countries.
