Mehriban Aliyeva: "Over 700 000 jobs have been opened since the last five years"

The guests were given information about the key goals of the foundation as well as museum pieces taken from Heydar Aliyev’s personal archive reflecting different periods of the activity of the national leader of Azerbaijan. They were familiarized with a number of documents reflecting different moments of the life of Heydar Aliyev phenomenon creating large imagination about a certain period of Azerbaijani history, the books dedicated to the Azerbaijani leader by different world-known politicians, opinions of famous scientists, cultural workers and artists about the president of independent Azerbaijan. The guests also viewed a film about the activity of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.  

Following that the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Good Will Ambassador and member of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Mehriban Aliyeva met with the guests. She expressed her hope for the Azerbaijani Women’s III Congress will be held effectively. To her, the outcomes of the congress will support women’s becoming more active and give contribution to solution of women’s problems as well: “Azerbaijan is one of the countries developing dynamically. It is four years that Azerbaijan is the leading country for its economic increase. This development comprises every sphere of our life including education, culture, health; growth and renewal are ongoing in every field. You will have opportunity to see the places of interest of Baku and you will witness the giant construction works, road laying activities in the city. At the same time all historical buildings are being renewed in the republic. And the same development can be seen in all regions of the republic as well”.     

M.Aliyeva underlined that solution of social problems is in focus of attention in Azerbaijan today. “Education is the priority direction of the state in Azerbaijan. 1300 new school buildings have been constructed in our country since last years. All schools have been supplied with modern equipment and computers. Over 700 places of employment have been opened since the last five years. And this has almost removed the problem of unemployment”.

M.Aliyeva also gave information about extention of the role as well as active participation of Azerbaijani women in the life of in our community.
