Azerbaijan plans to purchase oil refinery in Europe

"We have a program of purchase of a new oil refinery in Europe", said he.

As the discussions are still going on, he did not name the country, where the refinery locates.

He said the feasibility study on the project of construction of the oil refinery of a capacity of 10 mln tons is being prepared in the framework of the Petkim petrochemical complex, with control share belonging to SOCAR.

The plant construction may be launched this year.

It should be noted that SOCAR owns the Kulevi terminal in Georgia and Petkim complex (Turkey) outside Azerbaijan.
