Casmornefteflot obtains two more new ships

The ceremony of receipt of two new ships of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, called Caspian Qala and Caspian Breeze, was held in Baku on September 25.
Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for SOCAR that the vessels were obtained by the alliance Kaspmornefteflot/BUE Caspian by results of the international tender, held by BP-Azerbaijan.

Thus, the number of ships, purchased by the alliance through the past 6 years, has reached 10.

The cargo vessel Caspian Qala was built at the Norwegian Simek shipyard and the passenger vessel Caspian Breeze at Dutch Damen. Both ships will be used at the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil fields and Shah-Deniz gas condensate field.

It should be noted that currently Kastmornefteflot/BUE Caspian uses 16 ships. In the next two years the alliance plans to obtain three more ships.
