Reconstruction of underground gas reservoirs in Azerbaijan to take about AZN 100,000,000

He said the reconstruction will be held in two stages and in 2010 the overall capacity of the gas reservoir will reach 5 bln cubic meters.

"About 20 wells on the gas reservoirs have already been repaired and new compressor stations will be supplied in November. The approximate cost of reconstruction is AZN 100,000,000", said Abdullayev.

Moreover, works are created by the instruction of the country's president for creation of new underground gas reservoirs in Nakhchivan, where drilling works have already been initiated.

Their overall capacity will make 300 mln cubic meters per year.

It should be noted that in the framework of preparations to the winter season Azerigas pumped 1,100,000,000 cubic meters of natural gas to Kalmaz and Qaradagh.
