Azerbaijan ranking 76th in Global Enabling Trade Report 2008

Day.Az reports with reference to the website of the forum that the top ten countries included Hong Kong, Singapore, Sweden, Norway, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Switzerland and New Zealand.

In this report Azerbaijan took the 76th position, Kazakhstan is 72nd, Ukraine 68th, Armenia 61st, Russia 103rd, Tajikistan 104th, Uzbekistan 105th and the last position is Chad's (118).

The aim of the report, published for the first time, was to hold a global analysis on a number of indicators, connected with trade.

It should be noted that the Index of Global Trade measures services, factors and laws by the degree of their provision of favorable conditions for free flow of goods via the border and to the destination point. The index divides all factors into four main areas: market access, customs control, transport and communication infrastructure and business environment.
