President of Azerbaijan approves "State Program on poverty reduction in Azerbaijan for 2008-2015"

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to approve the state program on poverty reduction and continuous development in Azerbaijan for 2008-2015, reports Day.Az with reference to the official website of the Azerbaijani President.

The document says that owing to the successful economic policy, macroeconomic stability and continuous economic growth have been ensured in Azerbaijan through the past years and improvement has been attained in the sense of the growth of incomes and welfare of the population.

For the purpose of improving the welfare of the population and further reduction of poverty level in Azerbaijan, it was decided to ratify the state program on poverty reduction and continuous development in Azerbaijan for 2008-2015.

The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to settle the issues, resulting from the said decree.
