President of Azerbaijan attends Garadagh ship-commissioning ceremony

The Head of State was welcomed by Chief of the Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company Aydin Bashirov.

Azerbaijani leader toured the facilities at the ship. The ship built by the Croatian city of Pula-based shipyard will be used to carry cargo via the national leader Heydar Aliyev-initiated TRACECA transport corridor.

Garabagh will carry cargo between Turkmenistan`s Turkmenbashi, Kazakhstan`s Aktau and Baku.

Carrier`s length is 154.5 meters, beam 17.5 meters, speed 14 knots.

The Head of State sounded the ship horn from the captain`s bridge. The President wished every success to the crew of the vessel.
