Minister of Energy and Industry: "Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with Turkmenistan in the oil and gas sector"

Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy and Industry Natik Aliyev will leave for Turkmenistan tomorrow to participate in the oil and gas conference, during which he will hold a number of meetings with the officials of this country, Natik Aliyev told reporters.

He said Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with Turkmenistan on the Caspian reserves development, in particular, offer necessary equipment, sailing drilling facilities and others.

Meanwhile, deputy assistant US Secretary of State on Europe and Eurasia Matthew Bryza told reporters that it is necessary to improve relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, which would be effective. But now we should allow the countries familiarize with each other".

As to the implementation of the project of the Transcaspian gas pipeline construction with participation of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, Bryza noted that in this case most depends on the relations between the countries.
