UAE, Azerbaijan sign protocol by results of first session of intergovernmental commission in Baku

The first session of the intergovernmental commission on economic, trade and technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and UAE, held in Baku, resulted in signing a protocol.
During the signing ceremony Azerbaijan's Economic Development Minister, co-chairman of the commission Heydar Babayev announced that the main perspective spheres of cooperation between the countries today are agriculture, especially, agricultural processing, intensification of air transportations, construction sector and others.

"There are some trends of cooperation, interesting for the Azerbaijan Investment Company. The sides will work our the projects in details in the near future", said the Minister.

According to the UAE co-chairman, Minister of External Trade Sheikha Lubna bin Halid al-Qasimi, UAE is an oil country, where only 60% of economy is oriented to the non-oil sector.

"This means that we are interested in the development of the non-oil sector, especially industry, construction, energy, tourism and others. Your country make great efforts for economic diversification, therefore we have numerous spheres for cooperation", said the Minister.
