Lower Saxony ready for cooperation with Azerbaijan in mechanical engineering

German businessmen are ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the sphere of mechanical engineering, in particular, motor-car construction and agricultural engineering, as well as road construction.

According to Day.Az, the due announcement was made by Qalter Chirche, Minister of Economy, labor and transport of Nidesaxen, by results of the 8th Azerbaijani-German economic forum in the framework of the visit of the delegation of entrepreneurs of Lower Saxony (Germany).

He said German side is also interested in the projects in the sphere of alternative energy sources. "I think we will discuss this trend of cooperation with Azerbaijani partners at the exhibition in Hanover in early 2009", said he.

Speaking at the forum, German ambassador to Azerbaijan Per Sankina noted that other trends of cooperation could be ecology, agriculture, logistics and transport, tourism and others.

It should be noted that by results of the last year, the commodity turnover between Azerbaijan and Germany made EUR 1.5 bln.
