President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili, attending yesterday's opening of the Kulev terminal, called it new sea gates of the country.
According to the President, the plans he developed with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, are now being implemented.
M.Saakashvili reminded that following the 1990s the Samegrelo region was in economic isolation, while now the city is being developed. At the same time, President of Georgia admitted that a part of Samegrelo's community lives in hard social conditions.
"The third sea gates have appeared in Georgia, yet the biggest ones should be built in Ochamchira and Sukhumi port should be launched", Saakashvili said.
