Black market of cell phones in Azerbaijan reaches AZN 40 mln

The due announcement was made by chairman of Stable Development Research Center Nariman Aghayev by results of market monitoring.

He said the research of cell phone market of Azerbaijan showed that volume of illegal market of cell phones in Azerbaijan nears 40%, which is AZN 40 mln.

"These are mostly cell phones, imported to the country by individuals under pretense of gathering, after which the cell phones are offered for sale". The market monitoring revealed that most distributors and companies, engaged in import of cell phones, supply not only western but also eastern and south-eastern production (China, Korea). "The share of eastern and southeastern cell phones and garniture does not exceed 40% on the black market".
