SOCAR underfulfills plan on oil transfer for refining by 12% in April

In April of 2008 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan produced a total of 715,990 tons of oil (611,930 tons by oil and gas producing department and 104,060 tons by joint ventures and operating companies).

Day.Az reports with reference to SOCAR that thus the company has overfulfilled the plan on oil production for this month by 0.4%.

At the same time, production made up 2,884,220 tons of oil in January-April of 2008, which is up by 0.3% than the plan but 1% lower than the indicators of the same period of 2007.

In April SOCAR transferred 549,270 tons of crude, produced by the oil and gas producing departments for refining to local refineries (names after Heydar Aliyev and Azerneftyaq), which is down by 12% than the set forecast. On the whole, 2,456,500 tons of oil was transferred in January-April of this year, which is 2.5% lower than the forecast and 7.1% lower than the same period of the last year.

At the same time, in April SOCAR exported 158,830 tons of oil, which is 92.6% higher than the forecast, within four months the indicator made up 409,520 tons, which is 23% higher than the forecast and 68.9% higher than the same period of the last year.
