Ramiz Mehtiyev: "Bread crisis will not hit Azerbaijan"

The due announcement was made by head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehtiyev.

He said President of Azerbaijan passed an order to ensure food security.

Touching upon measures aimed to prevent price hike, the head of the presidential administration noted that conditions of market economy do not encourage administrative interference with such issues.

"Either we should use methods, adopted during the USSR period, or adhere to principles of market economy. Definite measures will be undertaken. The Cabinet of Ministers undertakes measures on import of grain in Azerbaijan. In particular, individuals and legal entities, importing grain to the country are released from VAT payment", said Mehtiyev.
