First Amman-Baku air flight operated

Boeing-767 of Royal Jordan air company landed in the Baku international airport named after Heyday Aliyev, thus opening the direct air communication between the capitals of Azerbaijan and Jordan.
The due announcement was made by a source from the Azerbaijani embassy to Jordan, according to Novosti-Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that the passengers of the first flight were ambassador of Azerbaijan to Jordan and Iraq Ekman Arasly, officials of the embassy, about 50 businessmen of Jordan, who arrived in Baku to establish direct contacts with their Azerbaijani colleagues.

Currently a ceremony of opening new air flight is held in the airport. The ceremony is also attended by the Jordan ambassador to Azerbaijan Adel Mohamed Adail.

A reception will be held in the Holiday Inn hotel following the arrangement in honor of opening of the air flight.

It should be reminded that Boeing 767 of the national company Royal Jordan will fly from Amman to Baku and back on Mondays and Thursdays. When necessary, the sides will consider rise in the number of operated flights. Additional air flights are planned for the future at the expense of the aircraft park of the National air company Azerbaijan airlines.

The issue of importance of opening a direct air flight between the capitals of the two countries has been a subject of discussions during the official visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Jordan on July 29-30 last year.
