SOCAR to invest $100,000,000 into Georgian economy

SOCAR intends to invest $100,000,000 into the Georgian economy in the near future.
A source from SOCAR told Novosti-Azerbaijan that the due announcement was made by SOCAR Energy Georgia general manager Mahir Mamedov during a two day workshop-conference GIOGIE-2008.

Mamedov noted that the construction of the Kulev terminal has been completed and a new base for oil products of a capacity of 25,000 cubic meters.

In his speech he familiarized the event participants with the activity of the company in Georgia, touched upon the issues of Azerbaijan-Georgia cooperation in the sphere of economy, adding that about 500,000 new jobs will be opened under financial support of SOCAR in the near future.

It should be noted that GIOGIE-2008 was held under support of the Ministries of Energy and Economic Development, as well as the oil and gas corporation of Georgia.

The event involved 250 representatives from 15 countries.
