Azerbaijan's strategic monetary reserves to reach $10,000,000,000

The strategic monetary reserves will reach $10,000,000,000 in the near future, said Rufat Aslanly, deputy chairman of the National Bank of Azerbaijan, Day.Az reports.
He said the reserves have risen by 4.5 times through the last 4 years and topped $7,000,000,000 as of early 2008 and such growth dynamics will be observed in 2008-2009.

He added that the National Bank of Azerbaijan carried out intervention on the monetary market of Azerbaijan in the amount of $120,000,000 in the first quarter of this year.
