SOCAR executes March forecast on gas production and commissioning to the state

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan produced 662,320,000 cubic meters of gas in March 2008, thus executing the forecast by 100%.
Day.Az reports with reference to SOCAR that 650,900,000 cubic meters were produced by oil and gas producing departments and 10,420,000 cubic meters by joint ventures and operating companies.

At the same time, 1,908,150,000 cubic meters of gas were produced in January-March, which means 100% execution of the forecast and which is 42.8% higher as compared to the first three months of 2007.

In February SOCAR receives only 320,330,000 cubic meters of gas (5.2% higher than the forecast), with 137,260,000 of associated gas from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, transferred to the state by the Azerbaijan International Operating Company free of charge and 183,070,000 cubic meters from Shah Deniz gas. 980,890,000 cubic meters of gas were received in January-March (9.7% higher than the forecast and 8.6% higher as compared to January-March of 2007).

In March SOCAR transferred 898,700,000 cubic meters of gas to the state which is 2.2% higher than the established forecast. On the whole 2,651,850,000 cubic meters of gas were transferred in the first three months of the year which is 4.2% higher than the plan and 31.5% higher as compared to January-March of 2007. Of this volume SOCAR accounts for 1,670,970,000 cubic meters, ACG for 428,260,000 cubic meters and Shah Deniz for 552,630,000 cubic meters.

Of this volume Azerigaz and Azerenerji received 1,465,980,000 cubic meters (456,320,000 cubic meters in February) and 1,155,830,000 cubic meters (432,840,000 cubic meters in March) respectively.
