Over 12,000 jobs opened in Azerbaijan's south in 2007

Day.Az reports that Lenkoran economic area includes 6 regions of Azerbaijan's south-Lenkoran, Astara, Masally, Lerik, Jalilabad and Yardimli.

According to Chingiz Mamedov, chief of regional department of Azerbaijan, 12051 jobs opened in Lenkoran economic area in 2007 with 6,018 permanent. The chief of department familiarized the society with other major economic indicators of the economic zones as well.

He said 165,834 tons of grain, 165,445 tons of potato, 286.601 tons of vegetables, 39,501 tons of citrus as well as 453 tons of tea were gathered in the region in 2007.
